Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO3P19 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTCO3P19’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where MTCO3P19 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTCO3P19 is over-expressed in tumor.
STAD are the cancer types where MTCO3P19 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
