Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO2P30 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTCO2P30’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where MTCO2P30 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTCO2P30 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

STAD, BLCA, and THCA are the cancer types where MTCO2P30 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
