Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO1P56 RNA is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MTCO1P56 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher MTCO1P56 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTCO1P56 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ACC and BLCA show a favorable association.

BRCA, COAD, and OV are the cancer types where MTCO1P56 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
