Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO1P45 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTCO1P45’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where MTCO1P45 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTCO1P45 is over-expressed in tumor.
COAD are the cancer types where MTCO1P45 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
