Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTCO1P21 RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MTCO1P21 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher MTCO1P21 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTCO1P21 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and ESCA show a favorable association.

UVM, GBM, and LUAD are the cancer types where MTCO1P21 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
