Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTATP6P23 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTATP6P23’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where MTATP6P23 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTATP6P23 is over-expressed in tumor.
KICH are the cancer types where MTATP6P23 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
