Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTATP6P19 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MTATP6P19’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where MTATP6P19 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MTATP6P19 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KICH, BRCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where MTATP6P19 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
