Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTARC2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTARC2 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MTARC2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTARC2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and PDAC show a favorable association.
HNSC, CCRCC, and PDAC are the cancer types where MTARC2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
