Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MTA2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MTA2 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MTA2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MTA2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, LAML, and LUAD are the cancer types where MTA2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
