Across TCGA patient cohorts, MT2A protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 13,251 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MT2A-associated genes across cancer lineages are SIRPA, MT1E, and MT1X. Each is linked with MT2A in more than 7 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MT2A-to-partner and partner-to-MT2A results are reported.

Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The scatter plot shows the strongest example, MT2A versus SIRPA in LUAD, with a Pearson correlation of 0.46.
