Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MT1B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MT1B data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher MT1B Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MT1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

OV and LUAD are the cancer types where MT1B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
