Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MT-TY RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MT-TY data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher MT-TY RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MT-TY expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ACC and KIRC show a favorable association.

ACC, UCS, and KIRC are the cancer types where MT-TY RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
