Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MT-TT RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MT-TT data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher MT-TT RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MT-TT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and BLCA show a favorable association.

UVM, ACC, and COAD are the cancer types where MT-TT RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
