Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MT-TS2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MT-TS2 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MT-TS2 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MT-TS2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and PAAD show a favorable association.

KIRP, PAAD, and ACC are the cancer types where MT-TS2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
