Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MSX1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MSX1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher MSX1 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MSX1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC are the cancer types where MSX1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
