Across TCGA patient cohorts, MSX1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 741 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MSX1-associated genes across cancer lineages are IGSF21, HIF1A, and DHRS2. Each is linked with MSX1 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MSX1-to-partner and partner-to-MSX1 results are reported.
