Across TCGA patient cohorts, MSLN mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 23 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MSLN-associated genes across cancer lineages are Chk1, 14-3-3_beta, and N-Ras. Each is linked with MSLN in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MSLN-to-partner and partner-to-MSLN results are reported.
