Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MSC Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MSC data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher MSC Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MSC expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

ESCA, LUAD, and LGG are the cancer types where MSC Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
