Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPS5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPS5 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher MRPS5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPS5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, UCEC, and LUSC are the cancer types where MRPS5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
