Across TCGA patient cohorts, MRPS26 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 17,840 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MRPS26-associated genes across cancer lineages are LHFPL6, FYN, and RECK. Each is linked with MRPS26 in more than 7 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MRPS26-to-partner and partner-to-MRPS26 results are reported.
