Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPS21P2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MRPS21P2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where MRPS21P2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MRPS21P2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
UCEC, LUSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where MRPS21P2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
