Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPS21 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPS21 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher MRPS21 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPS21 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BLCA, LGG, and UCEC are the cancer types where MRPS21 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
