Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPS18CP6 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MRPS18CP6’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where MRPS18CP6 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MRPS18CP6 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRP, COAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where MRPS18CP6 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
