Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL51 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL51 data layer compared with 29 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MRPL51 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL51 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and LUAD show a favorable association.

COAD, HNSC, and GBM are the cancer types where MRPL51 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
