Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL48 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL48 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher MRPL48 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL48 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
ESCA are the cancer types where MRPL48 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
