Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL46 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL46 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher MRPL46 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL46 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRP and UCEC are the cancer types where MRPL46 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
