Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL46 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL46 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher MRPL46 mass-spec protein is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL46 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM and UCEC show a favorable association.

GBM, UCEC, and HNSC are the cancer types where MRPL46 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
