Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL32 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MRPL32 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MRPL32 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL32 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and THCA show a favorable association.
HNSC, LGG, and LUAD are the cancer types where MRPL32 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
