Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL27 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL27 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MRPL27 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL27 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and LSCC show a favorable association.

COAD, HNSC, and PDAC are the cancer types where MRPL27 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
