Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL23-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MRPL23-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher MRPL23-AS1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL23-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UVM and LGG show a favorable association.

UCEC, UVM, and COAD are the cancer types where MRPL23-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
