Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL22 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL22 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher MRPL22 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL22 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC are the cancer types where MRPL22 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
