Across TCGA patient cohorts, MRPL21 RNA expression is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 18,677 significant associations in total. THYM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MRPL21-associated genes across cancer lineages are UQCC3, TMEM258, and NDUFB7. Each is linked with MRPL21 in more than 33 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MRPL21-to-partner and partner-to-MRPL21 results are reported.
