Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL20 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL20 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MRPL20 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL20 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and LSCC show a favorable association.
COAD, LUAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where MRPL20 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
