Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL17 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL17 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MRPL17 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL17 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and LSCC show a favorable association.

COAD, LSCC, and UCEC are the cancer types where MRPL17 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
