Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL13 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL13 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher MRPL13 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL13 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC are the cancer types where MRPL13 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
