Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRPL12 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRPL12 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MRPL12 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRPL12 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and LSCC show a favorable association.

LUAD, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where MRPL12 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
