Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MREG Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MREG data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher MREG Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MREG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
COAD, THYM, and UCEC are the cancer types where MREG Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
