Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MRE11 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MRE11 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher MRE11 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MRE11 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRC, ACC, and SCLC are the cancer types where MRE11 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
