Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MR1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MR1 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MR1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MR1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUAD, and CESC are the cancer types where MR1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
