Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MPL Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MPL data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MPL Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MPL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD, STAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where MPL Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
