Across TCGA patient cohorts, MPL protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 945 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MPL-associated genes across cancer lineages are SEZ6L, HIF1A, and EEF1A2. Each is linked with MPL in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MPL-to-partner and partner-to-MPL results are reported.
