Across TCGA patient cohorts, MPL mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 34 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MPL-associated genes across cancer lineages are p27_pT198, VEGFR2, and 14-3-3_beta. Each is linked with MPL in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MPL-to-partner and partner-to-MPL results are reported.
