Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MPIG6B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MPIG6B data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher MPIG6B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MPIG6B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LSCC, GBM, and UCEC are the cancer types where MPIG6B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
