Across TCGA patient cohorts, MPEG1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 12,120 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MPEG1-associated genes across cancer lineages are BIN2, PIK3R5, and SAMHD1. Each is linked with MPEG1 in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MPEG1-to-partner and partner-to-MPEG1 results are reported.
