Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MOS RNA is linked to patient survival in 15 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MOS data layer compared with 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher MOS RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MOS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and UCS show a favorable association.
UVM, ACC, and KIRC are the cancer types where MOS RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
