MOCS2

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MOCS2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of MOCS2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where MOCS2 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types MOCS2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KIRC, and KIRP are the cancer types where MOCS2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
