Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MMP7 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated MMP7 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher MMP7 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MMP7 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.

LUAD, GBM, and CCRCC are the cancer types where MMP7 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
