Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MMP24OS RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MMP24OS data layer compared with 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher MMP24OS RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MMP24OS expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and KIRP show a favorable association.

SKCM, MESO, and KIRP are the cancer types where MMP24OS RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
