Across TCGA patient cohorts, MMP2 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 15,064 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible MMP2-associated genes across cancer lineages are PCOLCE, AEBP1, and TGFB3. Each is linked with MMP2 in more than 9 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both MMP2-to-partner and partner-to-MMP2 results are reported.

Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The scatter plot shows the strongest example, MMP2 versus PCOLCE in OV, with a Pearson correlation of 0.70.
