Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, MMP2-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated MMP2-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher MMP2-AS1 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated MMP2-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.

HNSC, UVM, and SKCM are the cancer types where MMP2-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
